Slow summers

Everything is sorta slow during the summers, especially raiding. People leave, and not all at once of course, but so that there never will be enough people do to stuff. But this weekend we might actually get it to happen. Some good old Karazhan just for funsies.
Speaking of funsies, I got my enh shammie to 70 and I hope to have her tag along to Kara this sunday, heck that would be alot of fun.
But as I said... not much action around these days...

Mount Hyjal

We tried Mount Hyjal for the first time the other day. I've never been there so it was fun to be able to see something new in the game.
We prepared quite well and Rage Winterchill went down on first attempt. Anetheron was more trouble tho. The waves of mobs were never any trouble and neither was the boss himself. The real issue were the infernals he spawned. Took some tries before people fully understood the concept of "run to the tank -before- the infernal lands". Took us four tries to get it right.
Good thing about it was that epics dropped on all the tries before success which made the failing attempts more lucrative loot-wise than an immediate success had been. Two recipes and some back and axe dropped if I remember correctly. But boy those fights were fun!
Long till we go there again.

Finally got my epic flying machine on my hunter, so now I've got a decent herb/mote gatherer. Weee!

What will be left?

Soon my quest to get all classes to 70 is fulfilled. I've got all classes except rogue to outlands anyway. What will be left? Getting different specs to 70. Working on a shadowpriest and a feral druid. Feral druid was way more fun than I thought it would be. I suppose trying to kill stuff in kittieform while being resto isn't fair game... And then WotLK!
I've already filled my mains server, so I suppose I will have to put my Deathknight somewhere else then. I also hope they remove gnomes as a playable race in the game, or at least make it so that they can't tank... dwarfs shouldn't be able to be rogues either.
Got the t5 gloves some week ago btw. Now I am hoping to get the t4 head from Prince... would really do me good.

Leotheras daun!

And the title says about it. I passed some t5 gloves to another priest as I had gotten shoulders and pants before... or which way was it? Ah I passed something anyway. I'm such a nice girl.

The fight was quite easy for a healer, the real work was with the dps dpsing when they should and not when they shouldn't, which sometimes seems hard to accomplish ^^ Raidhealing this guy was great fun actually. Two wipes and we got him on third try (I think it was). Soon we can get badgeloot too, we're at 90% or so. First thing I'm gonna buy me is teh übernice chest... *drool*

Long time no see

Long time since I said something. Mostly because not much special happened, I've been playing up some different chars, so that my paladin, druid and shaman soon are 70 too (they are all over 62 anyway).
But tuesday and today we did some nice and fun progress in the guild worth writing about! My guild does Kara badgefarming, Gruul lootfarming and ZA for progress. There are some bosses we hadn't manage to down in ZA.
Tuesday we tried our first time on Malacrass. Easy enough and down on the first try. Zuljin was up next and that fight was quite tougher than Malacrass. We tried some times, learned one phase at the time (except the first two which are quite easy) but after getting him to 8% at one try we all knew we were tired and unfocused and left happily with the experience instead of the loot, and went to bed.
Today we did our first run in SSC. First up was Lurker Below. After three tries we got him down, yet again one of those fights which is quite easy when people learn to stay away from the Spout and such. Hydross turned out to be an even easier fight, for me as a healer it was cakewalk all the way. Only the dps and the tanks must've had a hard time keeping track of the different phases and when the adds come and yadayada, but as a healer Hydross is really quite simple. Failed the first time coz zome over-eager dps snatched aggro and pulled him to the wrong side. Got him down with no casualty the second time. Well I think I died once from the adds but I was Combat Ressed, so I didn't have to watch the fight from the floor like with Lurker :S

Advancements

I knew that after some whining about the evil fact that holy paladins can use four times more loot than holy priests (although plate of course is to prefer, one rarely says no to goodie goodie upgrades) something was bound to happen. I have done plenty of runs to Kara with my holy priest and last time I got something was October-November, I can't even remember it, it's that far away! I think it was my first run there too...
The problem wasn't really the guild being evil, the guild is actually great, the problem was that nothing ever dropped. Or well it did, leather, mail and plate... I saw countless paladins gear up (our guild has mostly paladin healers I think) and thought "well something just has to come my way soon". But no.
So I posted some whiny posts on the guildforum about the cruelty of the world and the like. And what would you know? The two runs after that I got something like six gear pieces. And again, me being the only holy priest in the guild, this has mainly to do with the damn stuff not dropping at all than me not getting it when it does.
Now I feel fit for ZA.

I'm leveling my paladin at the moment, as a tank, coz that's the most fun. And how fun! So easy, can tank fire mages five levels higher than me with quite ease. The threat output of a paladin is insane, at least the first minute...
Thought tanking as warrior sucked... it was so hard! I did a SL the other day with a fire mage and boomkin and shadowpriest (yes sucky setup) and I had to taunt like all the time. And I thought "hey, I really suck at warrior tanking". And then some days later when I found out I for some reason hadn't bought Intercept and went to do so, I found out I had played with rank 1 Devastate, Shield Slam and Revenge all along... I remembered I had respecced from fury to prot when I dinged 70, but had of course forgotten to buy the new ranks.
Suddenly I thought I was great, having tanked that good with that crappy skills ^^ My god I'm nubby sometimes.

I still haven't bothered skilling engi either... I have 8k gold just waiting to buy an epic mount. Soon soon. According to my estimations I need seven primal fire for my last skills. Which isn't much at all. But I'm too lazy to get it now.

Gruul!

Did Gruul's Lair for the first time (for me and my guild) and it went kickass! Got Maulgar down on third try and Gruul on second. We had like three living when gruul died, which made it extra fun ^^
Got no loot but that'll come. I'll definitely do more Gruul runs! Fast and quite easy, way funnier than Zul'aman imo... Zul'aman has so much trash, Gruul is concentrated to fun boss fights. And you can get pwny loot fast. All good.

Oh Shadow, I love thee...

The first char I ever leveled to 60 (this was long before BC) was a shadowpriest (I had gotten a warlock to 55 and a druid to 52 before that). At that time instance-dps wasn't viable as shadowpriest and all I ever got to do was heal heal heal, and I didn't do that good either, since I was meant to kill really! So pvp was a blast and everything else sucked...
So I decided that if I ever was to do what I really wanted, to inflict pain and suffering (not only onto other players, but onto the rest of the world as well), I had to leave my dear shadowpriest behind. I rerolled warlock (again) and worked my way to 70.
After a while I looked up my old love the shadowpriest and decided I wanted to play her again. This time she was gonna be holy tho, since I already had my dpser the lock. But with BC they actually made shadowpriest work in instances! People actually -ask- for them and -like- them. I was stunned. My priest is holy and has nearly no dpsgear (and it all sucks). Respeccing means endless runs to get reasonable gear. No, I wanted to do this from scratch.
Unfortunately I've already filled my mainserver with chars, so I had to start one elsewhere. Now I have, on an rp-server so the damn gankers won't bother me EVER AGAIN!
And I love every second of it, shadowpriest has always been my calling! (Altho I love warlocks too).

I just have to have my roflcopter

Getting the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine isn't that difficult really, you just gotta mine... alot. After mining what I thought was alot I still wasn't anywhere near enough mats tho. I had like one tenth (not counting the mats for the regular flying machine which are also needed) of everything I needed. I complained to Love who told me he had like 100 bars of this and even more of that in his bank and I could borrow it all if only I gave it back some day. Hehe sure I will >:D
So now I'm nearly done with my Machine! Only need 1,2 Primal Fires more... Ah and of course, 375 skill in engineering -_-

Black Morass is a tankers dream... (how many "tank" can you find?)

After respeccing to tank and tanking some instances I feel that although many instances can be a pain in the ass to tank (like Durnholde omg) Black Morass must've been done to please all the tanks out there. I've played that instance as dps, healer and tank and as a tank there is really nothing for me to do. Just run to the big guy and hit him some, run to next big guy and hit him some. Nothing special to think about and quite comfy. As a dps tho I would most likely be stuck with the adds. Not that they are difficult, but they give alot to do. As a healer I need to think about the add-killers who can take quite a beating, and overall I would have to think about conserving my mana! Except of course as tank... Run to the big guy, and hit him. That is really all. Thank you Blizzard for this instance.
Tanking is quite fun tho, as long as everyone in the party follow the marks and all that of course. Did a run in bot and was stuck with a bunch of half-brains (except my sweet Love). Them people can make any easy-peasy run the run from hell. After kicking two idiots we finally found someone who knew what the skull target was and didn't ninja stuff they couldn't use...

Sometimes I wish you had to undergo some sort of IQ test before you could use this game.

Warrior -> 70!

So there you have it, warrior turned 70. Got me some felsteels gear from Love which I've gemmed up some, nothing fancy, just what I could find on AH.
Plan is to respecc prot now, instance like heck (tanking is fun!) and if I ever wanna quest for some money or such again, just respecc back, aint that much money...

I can't prot you to death!

I couldn't take it anymore! Grinding as prot warrior was ok, but me and Love thought we'd burn through my last levels in Netherstorm so I respecced fury and we wrecked some major havoc. Expect me to be 70 very soon!
But... grinding as protadin was a major pain in the back >:/ I just couldn't take it anymore, so I went and respecced retri for some levels, people will have to live without a tank till I get better gear and can do some bloody damage! At first I couldn't decide whether to be holy or prot, but since they both suck at questing (more than retri) I decided none of them would be ok until I've geared up. So we'll see when the migty protadin returns!

Hunter -> 70!

Yes yes, I've finally gotten my hunter to 70. It's taken a while, I've had her for something like 1,5 years, but played her only now and then. Good thing is you don't have to play hunter much to level them. You just run around and kill some random stuff and suddenly you hit 70. Such an easy class.
And now I can finally equip them epic gloves (Crystalhide Handwraps) I bought like half a year ago, they've been rotting in my bank ever since. Until now!

And now I'm busting my ass off to do myself a flying machine. First of all I've gotta skill up my engineering, and that's a major pain in the ass of course, as with nearly all crafting proffessions when they near 375... And then you need revered with consortium to do the Elemental Seaforium Charges. I'm not even friendly :S Luckily enough a guy in my guild can do them *phew*

Charger

If you've got all the mats ready, and a fat druidbear to boost you for the last part, the pala charger quest takes about an hour. Of course it takes longer if you like me fly SM -> UC -> LHC instead of SM -> LHC but no ones perfect -_-.
It seemed like the Azerothian Diamond would be the only thing I couldn't get, but then Love got a whisper from someone who asked if he needed one (after he had asked in /trade for one). The following conversation took place;
Love: What's your price?
Player: 30g
Love: Ouch, never seen it for more than 10g...
Player: I sold one for 45g last time
Love: I could stretch to 25g, but anything above that is just too painful.
Player: How about 15g?
Love: Sure

He actually bargained himself to a 15g cut. Fascinating. I wish I met more people like that.
After I got my charger I went and bought myself a chocobo, they're way cooler.

I also found that the Thrallmar rep axe is quite nice for me.

Paladin -> OL!

Got my paladin into Outlands today. Although it's my fifth char there now, I still get fascinated about how much better the first quest-greens in HP are compared to whatnotepics from Azeroth. I remember I kept Benediction to 70 with my priest and she also still has a blue ZG head (I've actually still not managed to find anything better, how unlucky am I, or lazy rather...), but anything else just goes out the window.
My pala already has 1300 more mana and another level in like an hour. Freaky. What will not happen when the next expansion comes out? Somehow it feels like wasted time to spend hours on imba-epics when I know they will be crap (crap!) in Northrend.
Questing as prot is a pain. It's easier to soloquest as protection warrior. Maybe that'll improve once my gear is better, I've only switched out four or so pieces so far.
And there is no good protadin onehander in outlands till like level 65, or am I blind? I have the silencing sword from Gandling, anything else is just too slow. Maybe I should go holy instead. *sigh*
